American tanks are good, it's the 6.7+ BRs that can make them a pain. Alot of compression, uptiering etc. M48a1 is at a higher BR than the German M48a2. At least in World of Tanks something was true in game balance: each nation has a obvious strong point. The german cannons there are the best around. But in War Thunder? The germans have no obvious superiority against the soviets, while the soviets are much better in many things (at least in tier II and III, and for what I read, in tier V too).
